We came to France in 2000 to buy a barge and cruise along the canals for a couple of years. Eight years later, after cruising for six years, we are still here, but now we cruise less, and our barge has become our pied à terre in Paris.
When you get off line 1 at the Bastille métro station, you can look out the window and see a port. That is where we live on "Eclaircie", a 22 meter converted Dutch barge, our home in France.
